Snapspect is now Handover, the whole app is free, and meters and keys are real records.

A new name
Snapspect is Handover. Same app, same data, same account — nothing to move and nothing to buy again. The old name was a word nobody searches for, on a listing nobody was being shown.
Everything is free
No report limit, no watermark, no trial that expires. Unlimited properties, inspections, photographs and finished reports, the check-in to check-out comparison, signatures, on-device note drafting and iCloud sync — all of it, at no charge. The monthly subscription is gone.
Meters are proper records now
Electricity, gas, water or heat, each with its reading, serial number, supplier, account number and a photograph of the dial. They carry forward to the check-out with the details already filled in and the reading blank, so you are comparing like with like. Readings keep their leading zeros, because a meter face is evidence and reformatting it destroys the point.
Keys and fobs are logged
How many went out and to whom, and at check-out how many came back. Anything unreturned is listed on the report — that is the line a lock change gets charged against.
One thing costs money
A free report carries a single line of small grey type in the footer naming the app. For $4.99, once, your own logo and company details take its place and you can append a tenancy agreement. It is not a subscription: nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel.
Already subscribed?
Your subscription is honoured in full and you can cancel it from Settings whenever you like. Cancelling costs you nothing — everything it used to unlock is now free for everybody.

1.2.2

October 2026

Store listing repairs.

Findable under what people actually type
The keyword set now carries handover, which it did not before.
Screenshots that show the app working
The App Store images had been showing an empty form. All of them were recaptured against a real inspection with real photographs.

1.2.0

September 2026

Short lets, sync across your devices, and a way out of everything.

Turnovers for short lets
Start a turnover after a guest leaves and the previous record carries forward with its conditions already filled in, so a cleaner marks the two things that changed instead of tapping sixty items. The claim window is worked out for you and printed on the report: fourteen days after checkout or the next guest's check-in, whichever comes first.
Only what actually got worse
A turnover report separates what deteriorated during this stay from what was already worn when the guest arrived. Claiming for pre-existing wear is what gets a whole claim thrown out.
Your inspections on all your devices
Start on the phone at the property, finish on the iPad at the desk. Sync runs through your own private iCloud, against your own storage. We operate no server and cannot read any of it.
Help that works in an empty flat
How it works and Questions are built into the app and need no network, because that is exactly where they are needed.
A subscription you can leave from inside the app
Settings opens Apple's own cancellation sheet without sending you elsewhere, and says plainly that cancelling does not shorten the period already paid for.
More to start from, and your own paperwork attached
Thirty-one room templates and fourteen property presets, a declaration you can word yourself, and a tenancy contract PDF attached per property.
The free tier is one finished report
One complete, watermarked report, so the app can be tried on a real property before anything is decided. Drafts, rooms and photographs stay unlimited.

1.1.0

September 2026

The first public release.

Check-in and check-out, with the comparison between them
Walk a property against a template, rate each item, photograph what matters. A check-out carries the check-in record forward, so every item prints its previous condition beside its current one and anything that got worse is flagged before the room detail.
A report, not a folder of photographs
A paginated A4 PDF with a cover, a condition summary, an issues list, per-room detail, photo grids, before-and-after pairs, and a signature block. It shares like any other file.
Evidence you can show is unaltered
Every report carries a SHA-256 fingerprint of the photographs it contains. If one pixel changes afterwards, the fingerprint no longer matches.
Signed on the doorstep
Both parties sign with a finger before anyone leaves, and each signature prints with the date it was given.
Works with no signal, and no account
The walk, the photographs and the report generation all happen on the device. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to wait on.
Readable, and laid out for iPad
Condition colours meet WCAG AA contrast on screen and in the printed report, drawn from the same values so the document cannot drift from the app. VoiceOver announces which condition is selected rather than leaving it to colour. The iPad layout is designed for the iPad rather than stretched from the phone.

Get it

Free, with no report limit and no watermark. One $4.99 purchase puts your own logo on the report.
